Since the very beginning of Cornell University, the natural beauty of the campus and surrounding areas have captured the attention and interest of the Cornell community. Generations of Cornellians have stewarded the landscape and gardens, resulting in over 3,700 acres set aside for conservation, research, appreciation, and relaxation.
