Verdant Views: A Biocultural Conversation
In 2016, Cornell Botanic Gardens developed a new vision that relates to the interdependence of the world’s botanical and human cultural diversity; namely, “biocultural diversity.”  It is now well documented that cultural and language diversity is just as threatened (if not more so) as many plant and animal species.  In this episode of Verdant Views, Christopher Dunn, Executive Director of Cornell Botanic Gardens, will discuss why biocultural diversity is an important topic and how understanding how the link between human culture and biodiversity is necessary for the conservation of each.

Verdant Views is a monthly webinar series, hosted by Kevin Moss of Cornell Botanic Gardens. Each episode focuses on a different topic related to plants, gardens, conservation, and the vital connections between plants and peoples around the world.
