Description
Join the Cornell Lab of Ornithology and three expert panelists on Wednesday, May 14, at 7:00 p.m. EST for a free, virtual webinar on why glass is such a huge threat to birds and how we can all do our part to make our homes safer for our feathered friends! Scientist Andrew Farnsworth will discuss why collisions happen and their impact on our wild bird populations, including which birds are most affected. He’ll discuss effective and affordable solutions to prevent collisions at your home and in your communities! Finally, you will have a chance to ask questions with two other panelists, Christine Sheppard, glass collisions program director at American Bird Conservancy, and Brendon Samuels of FLAP (Fatal Light Awareness Program). Everyone who attends the webinar will be entered to win up to $500 in bird-window collision deterrents. Register today to reserve your spot—spaces are limited! (Please contact Cady Netland at can75@cornell.edu if you have any questions. This webinar will be recorded and the recording will be sent out to registrants after the event.)
