The Tween/Teen Years is a five-part (six hours total), researched-based parent education program for parents/caregivers of children ages 11 – 18.
(Optional Family Night on Wednesday, August 31 from 6:30 – 7:30 PM)
Certificates of completion and gift card will be awarded to those who attend all sessions. Participants are asked to complete a pre and post survey. An additional gift card is awarded for attending the family night.
This program will assist participants, who are experts on their families, in developing a deeper understanding of how their personal and parenting knowledge and behavior affects their children. Topics will include, understanding parenting styles and tween and teen development, how to improve family communication, and create a better understanding of tween and teen challenges. We will also discuss discipline strategies, and managing parent and child stress.
